On Saturday, October 4, the Rotary Club of Pandan Valley once again showed what it means to live by Rotary’s motto — Service Above Self. A group of 34 Rotary members and family volunteers joined our Redhill Food Distribution, not only sponsoring the day’s supplies but also rolling up their sleeves to help on site.
An Afternoon of Purpose

The volunteers arrived ready to serve. They helped pack, sort, and distribute food bundles to our elderly beneficiaries, ensuring that every bag was prepared with care and attention.
Despite the warm afternoon, their energy and teamwork filled the space — greeting seniors with warm smiles, sharing light conversations, and ensuring no one was left behind.
For many of our beneficiaries, these small interactions mean as much as the food itself — a moment of connection and kindness that brightens their weekend.
Living the Rotary Spirit
Rotary’s values of fellowship, integrity, and service were evident throughout the day. The team didn’t just fund the effort; they embodied it. Their active participation reminded everyone that meaningful impact comes from both generosity and presence.
The visit also marked 35 years of partnership between the Rotary Club of Pandan Valley and our Food Distribution programme — a legacy of compassion that has touched countless lives in the Redhill community.
The Power of Partnership
- Sustained commitment: Decades of partnership like this help keep vital community programmes consistent and reliable for the elderly who depend on them.
- Empowering through example: Seeing professionals and families dedicate their time reinforces that service is not a one-time act, but a lifelong value.
- Building community resilience: When organizations like Rotary partner with grassroots initiatives, they strengthen social bonds and ensure no one is left behind.
We are deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Pandan Valley for their continued support, generosity, and hands-on spirit. Your partnership has been a pillar of strength in our mission — and we look forward to many more years of working together to serve our Redhill community.
